Well tonight was one of those nights we had a taste for something. So we decided to make Banana Cake with Betty Crocker's Rich and Creamy Chocolate Frosting which I think is the best already made chocolate frosting.
You can use already Banana flavored cake mix but since I didn't have any I used yellow cake and will add ripe bananas and 1 small box of banana cream pudding. If I had the banana mix, I would still add the banana cream pudding and ripe bananas. I love bananas. Hey they use to call me "Anna Banana" in school!
So when you crave for something yummy, I suggest making this cake. It's moist and yummy and so comforting. The whole family loves it and it never lasts long!
Banana Cake with Rich & Creamy Frosting:
1 Box of Duncan Hines Banana or Yellow Cake Mix (I prefer the Banana Cake Mix for this recipe.)
2 Ripe Bananas
1 1/2 cups Water
3/4 Vegetable Oil
1 small box of Jello's Banana Cream Pudding
1 tub of Betty Crocker's Rich & Creamy Chocolate Frosting
6 ounces of mini semi sweet chocolate chip lightly tossed in flour (optional)
Preheat Oven to 350 degrees.
Grease or Parchment Paper Line a 9x13 inch baking pan.
Mix cake mix, bananas, eggs, water, vegetable oil and pudding mix in a large bowl with a mixer until well incorporated.
Toss your semi sweet chocolate chips in flour and fold into cake batter. (This is an optional step)
Pour into pan and bake for 30 or 35 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the middle of the cake comes out clean.
Let cake cool and frost with Rich & Creamy Chocolate Frosting.
Sit back and Enjoy! Mmmmmm!
